Wonderfully spiritual and hip!! This music has the ingredients and key players that it sounds like it could have been off the BLACK JAZZ or STRATA EAST label!! Woody Shaw, Eddie Henderson, Joanne Brackeen, Billy Hart, AIRTO, MTUME are in top form!! There are only 3 tunes on the album and be sure to check out the really cool cut titled "Quiet afternoon" which has the deep electric vibe and a tight spiritual sound & side two's 17 minute excursion titled "Baba Hengates". This gets my highest recommendation and deserves to be in your collection...GOOD LUCK...plenty of cool tunes coming, so keep an eye out.
