ARTIST: BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD
TITLE: BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD
LABEL: ATLANTIC MONO 587070
This is a superb copy of a very rare UK first press MONO copy of Buffalo Springfield's first LP. It is the even rarer MISPRESSED copy which lists 'For What Its Worth' on the label but plays'Baby Don't Scold Me'.
The condition is EX throughout. (see below for more detail - I have tried to be thorough and accurate - this is not quite a mint copy but its still in difficult-to-better condition)
The LP has first press matrix numbers: Side 1 - 587070 A//1 with stampers 1,1,1 Side Two: 587070 B//1 with stampers 1,1,1.
VINYL: The vinyl retains all its original lustre and is virtually unmarked with only a handful of the very lightest whispey hairlines which are only visible under bright angled light. It easily gardes EX althoguh many sellers would call it near mint.
LABELS: The rough textured red/ purple labels are both unmarked near mint with no writing, wear, snail trails or anything to mar them at all.
SOUND QUALITY: The audio reproduction is everything you'd expect from such a fine quality LP. I have played it to create a digital version for my iPod and it sounds superb with virtually no unwanted noises, pops, crackles and definitely no more serious issues.
COVER: As you can see the cover matches the quality of the vinyl and grades EX+ at the least. It is flat, uncreased, with no corner wear or rounding. It lies perfectly flat and has sharp opening edges. The front is laminated and the unlmainated rear has no ring wear and no grubbiness and retains its pristine whiteness. The unlminated spine is typical of this period Atlantic and has some slight wear because it is not laminated but the lettering is barely affected.
The LP has the original poly-lined inner sleeve.
This is a rare LP and you will struggle to find a better copy than this one.

BUYER INFORMATION
Please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT ('UNPLAYED' if still sealed in shrink wrap or occasionally full MINT but only if the provenance of the item suggests this to be correct). Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.
GRADING SYSTEM
NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above
EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.
VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.
GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.
I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
