BUKKA WHITE "MISSISSIPPI BLUES" mono lp on Takoma B1001 Orig.??? US issue 1964 VG+/VG+. (New dealer: Please check my About Me page.)
I would grade this LP VG+. It plays great, but has some minimal noise that was not there when the record was new. It may also have noticeable visual marks consistent with a well cared for and very appreciated record that’s had a moderate amount of play. This LP still plays great and has lots of shine and is beautiful overall. THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY (pre-2000) This is his best "rediscovery" recording. If you like Bukka White this is essential. I'm pretty sure this is a 1st pressing. It has the black face rather than the later gold. The Tunes: ABERDEEN MISS.; BABY PLEASE DON'T GO; NEW ORLEANS STREAMLINE; PARCHMAN FARM; POOR BOY; Dialogue about CHARLIE PATTON; SHAKE EM' ON DOWN; HEAVENLY WAY; ATLANTA SPECIAL; DRUNK MAN BLUES; ARMY BLUES. Just superb country blues.
The Jacket: No initials or stickers. A very functional jacket. I would rate the cover VG+ overall with normal shelf wear.
