Description

Absolutely gorgeous copy of the rare original 1965 pressing of Burl Ives’ Have a Holly Jolly Christmas LP on Decca stereo DL-74689. This came out the year after the Rudolph TV special, and features him recapping a couple of those songs, including the title song, which was originally in Rudolph. Only in print for the 1965 Christmas season, this record wasn’t reissued until the 80s on the MCA label, so these original copies are rather rare, especially in this lovely condition. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays completely flawlessly and just beautifully. There are a couple of very faint and entirely superficial sleeve scuffs but barely. Just a glorious copy. The cover is likewise nearly pristine, with a promo cutout hole at the lower left, and only the tiniest signs of gentle use. This is truly a top, top original copy, near impossible to beat.
