Dandelion Records was a British record label started on 18 July 1969[1] by the British DJ John Peel as a way to get the music h001e liked onto record. Peel was responsible for "artistic direction" and the commercial side was handled by Clive Selwood of Elektra Records[2] and his wife Shirley.[3] Peel wrote:

Dandelion and the sister publishing company Biscuit were named after Peel's hamsters at the suggestion of his then flatmate Marc Bolan.

Around twenty eight albums were released by the label. One album was by Gene Vincent, with a cast of musicians including members of The Byrds and Steppenwolf. Others were by younger or non-commercial artists, including Beau, Bridget St John, Medicine Head, Clifford T. Ward, David Bedford, Lol Coxhill, Stack Waddy, Tractor, Kevin Coyne/Siren, and Denmark's Burnin' Red Ivanhoe.

The only record ever to make the UK Singles Chart was "(And The) Pictures in the Sky" by Medicine Head, which reached #22 in 1971.[original research?] Beau's "1917 Revolution" made #1 in the Lebanon in 1969.

Vinyl: EX.  A sensational find worthy of an archive!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. There are NO jumps NO skips NO sticks. This vinyl has barely been played. There are no hairlines at all even under a strong light source this vinyl is close to over the counter condition. There are only the retraction paper traces like all vinyls have under a strong light. One low level tick on track 3 and that's it!!  Some vinyl debris from the pressing plant is still attached within the spindle hole which is attesting to the fact that the vinyl has seen very little play. This is the KEEPER copy that will serve as a very healthy investment for the future!! I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection.

     Gatefold Sleeve:  VG+ to EX.  NO creases. Wonderful gatefold sleeve. The inside gatefold is  in stunning condition. Beautiful straight edges with only very little storage wear. I think it will be a very difficult task to find this album at all any time soon, leave alone in this STUNNING condition!!! The spine is 100% legible.  The opening is still  crisp. It is extremely hard to find this album at all. Downgraded just for the name to the front top in red felt. Please do not hesitate to ask me for alternate views etc. and I will gladly provide these.
