Description

BMN BLP 004

Early -- possibly first -- press of Jamaican classic, featuring the dance hit "Frankenstein" and covers of Mongo Santamaria's "Fat Back" and "Watermelon Man" as well as  Doc Bagby's "Dumplins".  The Blues Busters and Monty Morris provide vocals.  Engineered by the great Tom Dowd on leave from Atlantic Records.     

Vinyl grades VG+++* (EXCELLENT), with high gloss and a couple small superficial marks that cause minimal (if any) noise.  The parts we sampled sounded like new.    Cover -- which is still in its shrinkwrap -- is in excellent condition, with all seams intact and no cutout mark sor writing.  There is slight yellowing on the back.  Deep groove labels are clean (see photos below).
