A very rare pressing of Bach's First Violin Sonata, performed by the legendary Joseph Szigeti.

2-12" 78rpm First Edition Columbia "Viva Tonal" Royal Blue pressings from 1932/3 Nos 67989/90
Very first release as two single discs before mid-30s reissue in 2-record set X-1.
Mesmerizing performance by a great great musician who also happened to be
a born virtuoso.
Condition: I do not have a 78rpm Record Player anymore so my description is based on visual inspection only. I will start with the flaws: there are two rather long scratches (not vertical, but rather somewhat circular, "groove pattern" way) , one on Side 2 and the other on side 4. The former is deeper, the latter less so. I believe that they will likely affect the sound quality but I am not sure to what extent. However, since I have a 30-day Return Policy with ALL shipping costs included, the Buyer, if dissatisfied with the sound quality (or for any other reason) can of course return them.
Outside these two flaws: all sides show a good luster and their surface is quite clean and free of any scuff marks and have only very few surface scratches that should not affect the sound quality.
