Description

You know, while I love many operas, I'm generally not into the earlier vocal music of Bach and Handel. But listening to the records I've been listing today (visual inspection is for the birds - - you have to play a record to get description right) I find myself being won over. This record not only sounds mint, but is musically wonderful. And what a dream ensemble! Schwarzkopf, Fischer-Dieskau,, Pears, Ludwig, Gedda, Berry, and pulling it all together - Klemperer and the Philharmonia Orchestra. As I snapped the second to last photo a male soloist was singing a capella and the background was absolutely silent! Remember that you are getting 5 fantastic Angel LPs in this set.
