Mega Rare Bach/Casals suites unaccompanied cello nos. 4 and 5 RCA DM 1302 7x78s.
Extremely rare album set of seven shellac 78s.
Sadly, record 1 (sides 1, 14) and record 2 (sides 2, 13) have chips on the edge. The chips do go into the music as well. You probably lose 5-20 seconds of music on those four sides? 78s go fast!
Condition of the other five records looks really good. I don’t have a 78 player or needle, so can’t test them. But they look pretty sharp. I’m sure this album set just sat in someone’s closet for years, and didn’t actually incur a lot of playing time.
But there’s wear, so, buy at your own risk.
The album/booklet/sleeve/whathaveyou has fair amount of wear, but it is holding together.
This release isn’t on discogs. It has three sales in the last 12 years or so, that I’ve gleaned. $100, $200, and $300. Obviously this isn’t a perfect version, but I have to assume someone would get a lot of enjoyment out of this uncommon item.
I’ll pack this super duper careful by separating the records and the booklet and using bubble wrap/protection.
