This record is part of a very special offering of pristine Mercury Living Presence promotional discs that are in almost uncirculated condition. 

Original vintage Mercury SR90368 recording in near mint condition.  Dark maroon and silver Mercury “vendor” promo label.  Cover stamped “PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE”.

The inner band markings are:

Side 1:  SR -90368A RFR-1

The vinyl looks shiny and new and is in mint visual condition.  This record plays extremely well and sounds spectacular.  The extremely slight surface noise is typical of new 1950’s Mercury recordings.  The dynamics are superb.  There are no skips, ticks, or pops.

The maroon and silver Mercury “vendor” promo label is in perfect condition on both sides (see photo).  

The front and back of the Cover are in like new condition.  All seams are in great condition.  No splits, notches, cuts, or holes.  The original Mecury inner sleeve is also in perfect condition.   The total package is near perfect. 

Gina Bachauer gives an outstanding performance of Chopin’s Concerto and Nocturne. 

Anatol Dorati conducts the London Symphony Orchestra. 

Many of the records in this auction have been culled as duplicates from my personal collection of over 4000 LPs.  Others are more recent acquisitions for eBay, that I treat with the same respect as my own.

My Process for handling records

This record has been cleaned using The Disc Doctor’s Miracle Record Cleaner, which is used by the Library of Congress and recommended by Mobile Fidelity, TAS, Stereophile, and Better Records. 

1.     Visual Inspection – discard any major flawed records

2.     Remove static with ZeroStat

3.     Brief treatment with Discwasher to remove surface dust

4.     Complete wash and rinse Disc Doctor and RO water

5.     Remove rinse with Nitty Gritty vacuum

6.     Air dry in dust-free space

7.     Place in new antistatic sleeve.

8.     Stack LP, cover, and original liner in poly outer sleeve

I take every care with records I sell as I do with those I keep for my own use and enjoyment. 

The sound ratings are based on audition on my Linn Sondek, with a Clear Audio Virtuoso Wood Cartridge, using Goldmine standard ratings as a reference.

78 RPM Lacquer discs may include rigid panels to protect from breakage, hence the additional weight and shipping cost.

Calculated shipping is via Priority Mail International.  Tracking and insurance will be included in the shipping price.  I charge a $5.00 international handling fee on records to cover the costs of my cleaning supplies, sleeves, and proper shipping box, plus the PayPal fees on the shipping portion of the payments and my time to travel to post international packages.  Winners must furnish a local telephone number that the shipping carrier may contact.
