Over 25 years ago I started to piece together a vintage vinyl collection, mainly focusing on classic rock from the 60's and 70's. My objective(s) were simple, I wanted original (first pressing if possible), clean and as near mint as possible albums for this collection. I discovered that these simple objective's were not so simple....
Sure, it was not impossible to find just about any given album in well played and worn condition, but to find any given album in clean condition with minimal wear, all original inserts and sleeve's, and near mint / un-played condition was in fact next to impossible, even 25 years ago!
Fast forward to today and I have been sitting on a very nice collection of over 200 hand picked albums,most all very clean, all original, and near mint / mint un-played albums from the 60's and 70's featuring the best of classic rock.
The vast majority of this collection is minimal on wear and the vinyl is clean. A good portion is exceptional in and out, virtually untouched and un-played, some even have the original shrink wrap and stickers, while others have never been opened, still sealed 50 to 60 years later!
The list of artists/albums includes Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Queen, Black Sabbath, Santana, The Beetles,Z.Z. Top, Eric Clapton, Alice Cooper, Kansas, The Grateful Dead,Meatloaf, The Kinks, KISS, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Genesis and soon.... Just to name a few.
I have now decided to start to pass along some of these great albums in great condition to you! If you are the kind of collector who wants original, complete, and clean vinyl (to collect or play) then stay tuned as I will be unloading a large portion of this collection in the upcoming weeks/months.
