Description
You are bidding on a four disc mint copy of Philips A00150L-A00153L Bach's Matthews Passion, performed on Palm Sunday, 1937 by the Concertgebouw Orchestra, conducted by Willem Furtwangler. This record was released in 1951 and is a Holland microgroove pressing. When I tried to play these records none of them fit on the spindles of two turntables or my record cleaning machine, leading me to believe these have never been played. The spindle holes were too small. I reamed the holes and spot checked the records, they play mint. I believe the next owner may be the first to ever play these historic records. Box is in decent condition but shows its age. Libretto is included. Records are heavier then normal and my have an effect on international shipping rates quoted below. All used records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5 before shipping.
For U.S. customers I accept U.S. Postal Money Orders in addition to PayPal..
