So what’s odd about that then?
Well to the best of my knowledge Back Door never released a record on Apple, with the album coming out on Warner Brothers in 1974 instead.
I wish I knew the back story, but all I do know is that I came across it at a jumble sale in Edinburgh my home town maybe ten years ago…
It has the same track listing as the released Warner Brothers Album, but I can’t tell you if it’s the same mix or not, as I’ve never heard the proper release. It says “custom recording” on the label, but other than the address of Apple studios on Saville row there’s no other information to go by.
Condition wise: It came in the tatty sleeve in the pictures, and the record itself could do with a clean. I’ve not tried to do this as I didn’t know the best way to clean an acetate without damaging it… It will certainly clean up, but it’s not perfect with marks on two tracks “Linin’ Track’ and “Roberta” which will affect play. So I’d say VG grade.
I’ve no idea what its worth so I’m starting low, with no reserve and seeing what happens.
One thing I do know though is that there can’t be many of these, in fact it might be unique… A one off collector’s piece for a Back Door fan or the ultimate in Beatles related obscurities for all the Beatles collectors to fiend over.

Please note I live in Scotland UK and the item will be sent from here to the winning bidder by the royal mail postal service. It will be significantly more than the figure Ebay makes me list.
As this is a rare item I insist on sending the record by insured post at the buyer’s expense.
I do not send to Italy, France or the Russian Federation; if you live in these countries DO NOT BID on this item.
