Description

Bad Religion EP 7" - 1981 2nd pressing of 1500 (first was 500)
I personally purchased this copy sometime between 1980 and 1982 from Pooh Bah Records in Pasadena, CA. As anyone back in the day knows, that was one of the primo spots to buy Punk, Neo-Rockabilly and New Wave records back in the early '80's. I keep all my stuff in excellent condition, I'm not an audiophile so the grading is just based off of my research. See the actual pics.
From my research... "Many people just consider this part of the first pressing. I never see this mentioned in the auctions, but this is also Epitaph Records' first release. According to a well know fan site, the first pressing of 500 had so much treble the record skipped. The second pressing of 1500 had its own error. To quote:

  • When they came to press up another batch, this time of 1,500, they had the flaw fixed, only for a new one to appear. As was typical for the day, the band had a message scratched on the run-off groove; on one side was written, "We're not Bad Religion..." on the other "... you are". They called down to make sure that the message would be etched into the second pressing, but to their horror, the records came back with "We're not Bad Religion..." "Elipses U R"

This copy does display the etching mentioned, although I couldn't capture it in photos, it is there..."
Condition: The record does not have any visible scratches, no warpage. The record is a little dusty but as I'd mentioned, I'm not an audiophile so I will leave any disc cleaning to the buyer. The sleeves are how I bought them, the inner red printed liner is in pristine condition. The fold is not perfect so I do not know if that factors into grading (as in comic books). I'd rate both record and sleeves as VG+
