Rare 1st Press OZ LP released in 1970 on Apple Records. Cat: SAPCOR16. Features rare alternate cover art.Every so often Timewarp is lucky enough to come across a special record collection. Over the following weeks I will be listing records from one such collection. Collected mostly during the 1960’s and 70’s this set of records have been well preserved and cared for some dating back to over 50 years old!! Our regular customers will be aware that if we do grade a record at Near Mint expect it to have only been played a handful of times at most and to sound superb. We hope you enjoy the records we will be offering as much as we have in presenting them to you.
Badfinger's second album No Dice kicks off with "I Can't Take It," a rocker that signaled even if Badfinger still played pop and sang ballads, they considered themselves a rock band. What gave Badfinger character is they blended their desire to rock with their sensitive side instead of compartmentalizing. Even when they rock on No Dice, it's never earthy, like, say, the Stones. Badfinger's very sensibility and sound is modeled after the early British Invasion, where bands sang catchy, concise love songs. Yet there's a worldliness to their music absent from that of their forefathers, partially because Badfinger styled themselves as classicists, adapting the sound of their idols and striving to create a similar body of work. No Dice bears this out, boasting old-fashioned rockers, catchy pop tunes, and acoustic ballads. On the surface, there's nothing special about such a well-crafted, sharply produced, straight-ahead pop record, but the pleasure of a power pop album is in the craft.

There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record has a few very light scuff marks and is in Near MInt condition. Gloss cover has a few light age spots and blue marks on back and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
