Signed by the Beatles' Apple label in 1968, as The Iveys, this talented band were to become Badfinger, the following year ( a name suggested by John Lennon from an injury to his own finger). Their success was short lived and more or less came to an end with the abandonment of the Apple label in 1974. Straight Up is a wonderful collection of songs written by the band and produced by Todd Rundgren and George Harrison

Both sides of the disc appear as new, with just a couple of harmless, non-sounding marks, in evidence
Audio is flawless throughout, with silent run ins and crystal clear sound

The 'Demo' labels are perfect, with just light spindle trails

The Garrod and Lofthouse laminated cover is in reasonable condition, fully intact with a perfect 'pinched ends' spine
There are some creases and record impression but overall, it has survived in pretty good shape

Comes with a standard poly lined inner which has age toning and creases but no tears or splits

All in all, a rare collectors 'demo' in top shape with its earliest possible stamper codes
