Bakerloo

SHVL 762

Matrix A2  /  B2

1  /  A   1  /  A  Both sides stamped with 1 / 1 mother stampers confirming THE very FIRST UK pressing of this extremely rare and scarce release. IMPOSSIBLE to locate and a limited number release.

Album sleeve

Ex- condition. Opening gatefold with thickly laminated front faces.  Inner faces display the mega rare Bakerloo station logos in perfect symmetry and are portrayed in stunning, unfaded style. Designed by Inter graphic Arts .One of the most difficult album presentations to locate and in superb condition. The lamination on outer extremities is divine with a wicked mirror like sheen and an ultra smooth finish, pleasing to the touch. First issue E J Day printed and little damage to fault. Slight crinkle to album cover, top/lower spinal edge wear , and slight discoloration to centrefold. A beautiful feel to this album sleeve and gives a buzz when held as this record is oh so rare and almost impossible to locate.

Labels

Yellow/green first issue Harvest label format with NO E M I boxed logo confirming the very first pressing of this monumental classic. Excellent + condition with no rips, tears and only a few spider lines observed. No mottling  and a pleasure to view.

Audio

Mostly excellent throughout and at least a very good aural delivery in some parts owing to some static between the tracks and opening grooves. No major problems at all really.Tones are delivered with exceptional quality. The engineering is pure class , cut to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Beautiful rock ballads delivered in sensational style. The extra loud cut engineering is heard at its electrifying best! Bring it on Home is surreal and in magnificent contrast to Zeppelin’s version. Absolutely awesome delivery by Clempson, the slide guitar strings and harmonic intrusions are unbelievable. Keith Baker’s percussion beats and drum flurries are inspirational and must be heard.  The four light scratches do little to intrude and only result in a few light ticks and are hardly obtrusive, yet you must be made aware of these slight imperfections. One gem of a record with some awesome rock ballads that just MUST be heard. WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!

Vinyl

Some surface marks/4 light scratches only, very good+ visual with a highly polished sheen. Thick quality pressing.

Awesome album presentation and virtually impossible to locate . Will stand proud in any serious collection . Do not let this one pass you by as this release is becoming seriously rare and will become more and more difficult to find..
