Ballot Result - Minutemen original issue import US double album on SST Records.
For sale is a first pressing vinyl US import of the final Minutemen record, a double albumon SST Records (SST068) released in 1986 (Wikipedia says 1987, but the backcover says 1986). The record and cover are both in Excellent condition, thecover is still in its original shrinkwrap.
AllMusic states: ‘This album…uses radiobroadcasts, studio outtakes, rehearsal tapes, and audience recordings to assemble a final tribute to their fallen comrade. As you might expect, the quality of the sound varies quite a bit from track to track (though there's nothing as awful as the stuff on side two of ‘The Politics Of Time’ and there are a few items here that were outtakes for a good reason (like the overlong version of "Mr. Robot's Holy Orders" or the spontaneous soundtrack improvisation "Hell"). But for the most part, Ballot Result is a fitting memorial that makes clear the Minutemen were just as strong onstage as they were in the studio and that their songs were smart, provocative, adventurous, and stand up well to the test of time.
Robert Christgau, gives the album an A- and says, ‘I know most of the songs on this mostly live double in versions I prefer, but better than any studio distillation it underlines the crucial point: they lived. And given the modesty so intrinsic to their world-historical public ambitions, its muffled, take-a-flier intimacy speaks. Also, I like the covers.’

If you buy more than one record, the postage costs per item will diminish, up to a weight of one kilo. Please contact me and I will provide an invoice with an updated postage charge. The general guide is that upto three records can be packaged and sent for the same price as one. Currently I’m only selling in the UK.
