Barbara Mandrell *1978 Rare TEST PRESSING Vinyl B-Side!
This auction is for a terrific item for the serious Barbara Mandrell collector. Included is a 1978 33 rpm vinyl test pressing of the "B" side of a record that I'm not sure was released. Of course you'll recognize all the titles as song she has released but I'm not sure why these songs from different albums were compiled onto this test pressing. I'm wondering if ABC/Dot Records was going to release a Greatest Hits project on her with these songs before the label folded and she moved to MCA? Record manufacturing plants are usually paid by the record label to make a few test press copies so that the record label and producer can listen very closely to make sure there are no manufacturing errors before the record is mass-produced and packaged for sale at the retail level. This one came from the files of the producer of the record. This is for the B-side of of the project and the titles are shown below. The back side of the vinyl LP is blank with no grooves. It appears to be in good, playable condition. A MOST unique item for the collector!
