Description

Barbecue Bob -- 1927 78 rpm 12 string Blues 

 

Barbecue Bob, Columbia 14350 - 78rpm. “How Long Pretty Mama” b/w “My Mistake Blues”  Condition: VG++/VG+.   Born ROBERT HICKS, BARBECUE BOB is, as usual, solo with his vocal and signature Stella 12 string.

 

CONDITION:

 

The record is visually graded in VG++/VG+ condition with light wear, scuffs and scratches but it has plenty of gloss left.  It plays loud and clear, with no major flaws beyond what the grade would indicate (standard Docks/JJJ grading used).  Aural grade will of course vary depending upon the equipment it is played on.  For comparison only, the record has been play-graded as VG++ on my 1950’s player, E on my modern system. 

 

Please be advised that the label scan -- while showing an approximately accurate picture, tends to show a somewhat degraded image of printed words, occasionally shifts colors and picks up glare, and usually gives an image which is at least a half grade or more below the actual quality.  Still, the scan will give an over-all sense of the label’s condition.

Multiple winnings will be shipped together for an over-all reduction in shipping costs.  USA shipping is $5.50 media rate or $6.50 priority (for non-USA shipping rates please inquire). Postal insurance is $1.50 per each $50 of value, at your option.
