Description
Using the rhythm from Cultural Roots " Mr Boss Man" and " Mr Liar Man " here is Barrington's cut. A hard and heavy roots rhythm on the Germain Revolutionary Sounds label. This was also released on the Rub-A-Dub label. This got to number 30 in The Echoes chart on 25/2/1981..........So safe to say that the tune was probably recorded in 1980. The matrix numbers from the runout grooves are: A Side) Germain- Barrington Levy- Jah Lord B Side) DB-0054-B Mr Dubb Man A Boss- KK Mastering. The B Side is exactly the same as the B Side of the Cultural Roots " Mr Boss Man" 12".....Same catalogue/matrix number. There is a mark on the A side that causes a slight click for five revolutions a little way into the tune.......But other than that both sides play very well..........This is a USA mastered and pressed record so does not suffer from the usual Jamaican pressing problems. The record comes in a plain sleeve, which is how it was when I bought it.
