Rare Selection Records 1982 vinyl LP release by Barry Thornton with his son Brian Thornton.  Barry Thornton, one of the most famous Australian country music guitarists of all time, came to fame recording and touring as part of the Slim Dusty Show which he did for an incredible 19 years.  In the early 1980’s he signed with Selection Records and in 1982 released the album ‘Somethin’ Country’, one of his early Selection releases.  The album features 14 newly recorded songs, including 4 composed by Barry Thornton.  Twelve are instrumental, with ‘On The Inside’ (Allan Caswell’s classic ‘Prisoner’ Love Theme) featuring lyric monologue by Lorrie Cruickshank, and ‘There’s A Bridle Hanging On The Wall’ featuring lyric monologue by Bob Corbett.  Housed in original textured jacket in Excellent (minus) condition – small sticker mark front jacket top RH corner.  Vinyl LP is in Excellent condition – PRL 035
