This album is from a wonderful collection of audiophile records built up over 30 years by a high-end audio custom install specialist.  Each unsealed record has been cleaned with "Disc Doctor Miracle Record Cleaner", inspected in bright sunlight & placed in a new HDPE inner sleeve.

Cover Condition is Very Good Plus (VG+).  Cover has light to moderate shelf wear and a small sticker tear on the front cover. RCA company Original Inner Sleeve

Vinyl Condition is Very Good Plus (VG+).  Vinyl is shiny with a handful of slight scuffs or hair lines per side (nothing you can feel with a fingernail.  The labels show a little wear around the spindle hole.

Vinyl Play Evaluation:  This record plays with light background noise (a low crackle or rare low pop) more audible in quiet passages. This is an excellent example of a stunning recording and pressing.

I use play grading to supplement the visual grade.  Playback varies by setup; I am using a Linn LP12/Ekos/Benz Glider cartridge.

This recording was made from an original dual track stereo master tape embodying RCA Victor's "New Orthophonic" High Fidelity recording technique.  Condenser microphones were placed at optimum positions in Orchestra Hall, Chicago to insure uniform coverage of the orchestra. 

The music as originally recorded was then produced as a dual track stereo disc by transferring, under controlled conditions, to insure correct stereophonic balance, maximum spatial effect and ideal frequency range and dynamic contrast.

Grading:  I follow the Goldmine Record Grading Standard (Cover/Vinyl) with the addition of EX to indicate something in between VG+ and NM. VG(+) is a low VG+. A VG+ record will not disappoint.
