Description
It's all about the Basquiat cover art, but this is a unique copy in that it includes the 6 page (double-sides) promo packet that went out with the record in 1984 from CD Records in San Francisco signed by Ray Farrell. Also of note is that Ray mis-spelled Jean-Michel Basquiat's name as "Vasquiat" in the press release (obv way before spell-check LOL ). Also unique is that this copy went to the infamous Milwaukee-area pirate radio station "WTPS" FM - hence the 'WTPS' in magic marker on the back cover. http://wfaq.com/history.htm
The cover exhibits some wear typical of its age and service to the radio station. The record itself is in excellent condition as it was played only a few times before digitization.
A portion of the proceeds of this auction goes to benefit the non-profit radio station WFAQ-LP FM.
