BAT FOR LASHES - 'I DO'
MEGA RARE US PROMOTIONAL 'WEDDING INVITATION' - STYLE FLEXI DISC!!!
One of the more elaborate and collectable promotional items I've ever seen - what you see in the photos is a post card sized Flexi disc designed to look like a wedding invitation but actually PLAYS (on a turntable) the track 'I Do' from Bat For Lashes brand new LP The Bride (thus the wedding themed card/disc)
The condition of the card visually is perfect - please check out the photos. The track plays from start to finish but there is a fair bit of surface noise as you are essentially playing a piece of card. Bizarre but true.
In reality if you want to listen to the track properly it goes without saying that headphones and a nice proper piece of vinyl or uncompressed MP3 is what you're after. If you want a lovely, ingenious and incredibly rare piece of Bat For Lashes memorabilia to add to your collection, you've come to the right place.
The card states - for promotional use only - not for sale on the reverse.
PLEASE REMEMBER - DUE TO THIS BEING MADE OF CARD STYLE MATERIAL (RATHER THAN A TRADITIONAL BENDY WAFER THIN FLEXI DISC) THERE IS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF SURFACE NOISE WHEN PLAYING THE TRACK. IT IS A PROMOTIONAL ITEM AND WHILE VERY COLLECTABLE IS PROBABLY NOT GENERALLY INTENDED TO BE PLAYED. I HAVE TWO COPIES OF THIS & THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME IN TERMS OF SOUND QUALITY WHICH IS LISTENABLE BUT COMES WITH BACKGROUND/SURFACE NOISE.
The item will packaged in a professional 7" mailer with card stiffners. (I sometimes use recycled mailers where appropriate (if in excellent condition) to keep postage costs down for both myself and the buyer) - postage within the UK will be by Royal Mail first class signed for - FREE OF CHARGE!
