Battle of The Bands. Star Records(DL-7470). 1964. 1st Edition 1st Printing.
Rare mid '60s private press LP from Hawaii loaded with reverb and garage bands from the area at a wild live show. 20 tracks by bands like Raiders, Dimensions, Sensations, Infasions, Frolic Five, Rivals, Lepricons, Renegades etc. with titles like "Banzai Wipe Out", "Cruel Sea", "Money", "Journey To The Stars","War Of The Satalites", "Penetration", "Walkin' With Pluto", "Louie Louie", "Misirlou" etc. For your info the Renegades won 1st place, Statics 2nd place and Kona Casuals got 3rd place.
Conditions Rated: Cover 4 or G+ low gloss cover with tape repair on spine seam splits, ring wear, edge wear and corner bumps, corner cut upper left, discolorization///Record 5 or VG black and shiny with some marks, heavy vinyl, plays well.
