Description
This original pressing (OUT OF PRINT / RARE) was released on July 10, 1989 by Beggars Banquet Records, it compiles 18 tracks from five different BBC radio sessions recorded between 1980 and 1983. The double vinyl (2-LP) set is the standard original format for this compilation. It includes recordings from the John Peel and David Jensen shows. While many tracks are alternate versions of studio songs, others like "Poison Pen" and a cover of "Night Time" had not officially appeared on record prior to this 1989 collection. Though the sessions were not originally recorded for commercial release, they were digitally remastered from the original tapes and released legally to provide insight into the band's legacy. Five of these specific recordings—including their hit cover of David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust"—were actually used as the official versions on earlier singles or albums.
Although preowned, this album is in near mint/like new condition and has been kept in a plastic album protector.
