Description
This is an original 1982 UK first pressing of Bauhaus – The Sky’s Gone Out (Beggars Banquet BEGA 42), featuring early etched matrix numbers A1/B1 with the rare hand-etched messages “WHEN IS A DOOR…” and “WHEN IT IS A DUCLASSÉ.” The vinyl is graded Near Mint (NM), showing a deep glossy sheen with no significant scuffs or marks. Playback is clean and powerful, delivering the iconic post-punk sound with clarity and minimal surface noise. The sleeve is in Excellent (EX) condition, showing only light edge wear and minor age spots on the inner lyric insert but no tears or writing. This true first press includes the original inner sleeve with printed lyrics and band photos, making it highly collectible for Bauhaus and gothic rock fans. Early A1/B1 pressings like this are increasingly hard to find in such well-preserved condition, a must-have for serious collectors of 80s alternative and post-punk vinyl.
