Bayete Rare LP Worlds Around the Sun Jazz Funk Breaks

Up for bid is a rare jazz/funk LP, "Worlds Around the Sun," by Bayete. This is an original press, released on Prestige Records (PRST-10045) in the US in 1972. There is a deep groove around the spindle hole on both sides, and has "Van Gelder" stamped in the dead wax on both sides. Etched matrix numbers read: PRST 10045 A-1-B2B/ PRST 10045 B-1-B1A. Songs include:

Side 1: It Ain't / Free Angela (Thoughts...and all I've got to say) / Njeri / I'm On It

Side 2: Bayete / Eurus

LP is VG++ (nearly NM), with a couple of very faint scuffs and no spindle wear. LP is extremely clean and retains a nice gloss. Jacket is VG++, still in the original shrink wrap with no split seams. There is a small crease in the front top right and front bottom right corners. Colors on the front and back are still bright.  Here is some extra info from the internet:

"Bayete (Todd Cochran) for Prestige from 1972. The Hutcherson connection rolls on with this funked up bit of spiritual jazz with a great supporting line up including Bobby Hutcherson,James Leary,Hadley Caliman,Oscar Brashaer and more.Bayete recorded Worlds Around The Sun when he was only 20 years old. The album fluctuates between straight Bop like on It Ain’t and spiritual Jazz like Njeri (Belonging to a warrior). Sandwiched in between however, are a few hot Funk tracks like Free Angela (Thoughts … and all I’ve got to say), a song dedicated to Black activist Angela Davis. The song opens with a nice stop and go drum break before some affects are added to make it sound like a b-boy break. Then the singing and the rest of the band join in for a mid-tempo jam session before ending on a spiritual note. I’m On It has a similar groove to it."
