RARE PACKAGE
THE 5 ORIGINAL BEACH BOYS SIGNED PROMOTIONAL ALBUM "SURFER GIRL"
MIKE LOVE, BOB WILSON, DENNIS WILSON, CARL WILSON & AL JARDINE
I obtained this LP album at Sydney Airport when in the interview lounge on the day the Beach Boys arrived [Monday, 13th January 1964] for their inaugural Australian tour. The album was personally signed by all 5 members at their interview.
This package contains the LP record in excellent condition inside the original internal cover sleeve. Also included is a press cutting from the Sydney Sun newspaper reporting on their arrival together with a photo of 3 of the boys taken during their interview.
Accompanying the Beach Boys was the group "The Surfaris" best known for their "Wipe Out" album. Their signatures are on a separate loose sheet of paper together with the signature of ROY ORBISON who also toured with the group.
Members of The Surfaris were: Jim Fuller, Bob Berryhill, Pat Connolly, Ron Wilson & Jim Pash.
The signature of Jimmy Hannan of "Saturday Date" is also included.
Also included a newspaper article dated August 2nd 2001 detailing the history of The Beach Boys together with a separate article written by Bob Wilson.
