The Beach Boys – Holland

Reprise Brother Records K54008 Stereo LP Released 1972

UK 1st pressing PRESSING with the insert lyric sheet and extra 7 inch disc.
Generally in excellent condition. Most importantly, it sounds fabulous – rich, warm and clear sound.

The last great Beach Boys album (in my humble opinion).

Matrix numbers are both stamped and etched. They are:

Side A, stamped: K 54008 A3; etched: A3 31508PE 1 MS-2118 * 1A
Side B, stamped: K 54008 B3; etched: B 31509PE 1 MS-2118 * 1B

SLEEVE: light rubbing along the edges and the spine. Otherwise intact - no markings, tears or creases: VG+

VINYL: – looks and plays superbly with no noise, clicks, jumps or distortion other than very occasional minor brief background crackle. Visually EX Sounds: EX+

LABELS: EX+

LYRIC SHEET: - Intact unmarked slight crease in corner EX

7” EP: Sleeve intact with some creasing to opening edge. Some background crackle probably due to dust (hasn't been cleaned unlike the LP as the Moth machine is currently out on loan) so VG+

I use RC gradings but try to undergrade, because, firstly, as a collector myself, I know how frustrating it is to receive ‘over-graded’ items and, secondly, I am having to have a clearout over the coming months (years?) and wish to maintain and develop a good reputation.

All records have been cleaned with a Moth machine.

Record Collector Grading System:

M = Mint: Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in perfect condition.

Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.

Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
Fair: Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor: Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
