Description
A Gorgeous ORIGINAL COVER SLICK LITHOGRAPH PRINT of the BEACH BOYS' 'SMILE' ALBUM COVER, with artwork by FRANK HOLMES.
This is an OFFICIAL print from Frank Holmes' studio, and was taken from one of the ORIGINAL cover slicks that Capitol records printed for the ill-fated album.
I purchased this directly from Frank Holmes a few years ago (2008) before he ceased selling his artwork online (when the 'Smile Sessions' box/lp etc was issued)
Signed in blue pen by Frank "Smile On - Frank Holmes '08"
I will also include the brief email correspondance I had with him when ordering as a proof of authenticity.
CONDITION: The print is a high, exhibition quality lithograph on thick card (not a poor computer print out) the colours are amazing. It has been previously framed and has a bit of a sellotape removal tear on the top edge of the REVERSE SIDE (so you'd never see these) - also a couple of smudges (again on the back of the print). The print face itself is pretty much pristine aside from a very slight invisable scuff mark on the left hand side (over the corner of the smiley face picture, hung up behind the man). You really have to look closely and hold it up to bright light to see it. SEE PHOTOS - I have tried to take good honest photos so you know exactly what it is you are getting. The print will be sent rolled in a heavy duty tube. It measures 14" x 16".
