Yes, Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys is THE seminal album--and THE album Beach Boys fans NEED in there collection. And Beach Boys fan KNOW that their Beach Boys collection is NOT complete unless the collection includes THIS exceedingly hard to find 1972 release of Pet Sounds. This release on the Brothers Record label was printed in substantially lower quantities than the original release. There may be other copies of this album available on line but although there may be another copy as good as this vinyl--but none better than the quality of this vinyl--and YES, you will pay more for this virtually unplayed quality sound. Please know, the cover is NOT the same quality as the record--but it is a solid Very Good +..see photos.
Brian Wilson's masterpiece just the way Brian wanted it to begin with! Many record folks say the sound on this 1972 release is superior to the original release in '66.
This album was previously released as part of a two record set titled Pet Sounds/Carl And The Passions - So Tough. This record is pressed in monophonic sound, the way Brian cut it.
This is the repress of the version of Pet Sounds that came with the Reprise/Brother double LP. The color, and the text on the cover, is a variation of both the original Pet Sounds LPs and the double LP.
