Collectors and Beach Boys fans, for your consideration, I have for purchase a very rare, highly collectable, and exceptionally clean copy of the Beach Boys historical album Pet Sounds, in mono. Pet Sounds is considered one of the greatest albums of the 20th century ( Rolling Stone magazine rated Pet Sounds the #2 greatest album ever recorded, right behind The Beatles Sgt. Peppers, which Pet Sounds inspired! ), and here is your chance to own a stellar example of this fabulous album. I would rate the cover as EX, and the only thing keeping the cover from a NM is that someone wrote a small D by the Capital mono symbol, god only knows why, and some very light ring wear and patina on the white parts that is very natural for an album that is over 50 years old. There is no seam wear and no splits. The vinyl, however, looks like it has never been played. I don't see a single scratch or scuff, this baby is a beauty. The original Pet Sounds is rare because it initially didn't sell well on its original release and Capital records didn't promote the album very well because the songs were such a big departure from the Beach Boys earlier fun, sun, girls, surfing, hot rod and just being a teenager song themes. Pet Sounds and Brian Wilson have since been vindicated by time and this album I am presenting is now hard to find and highly collectable. This is a must have for any record collector and I am sure it will only increase in value. Thank you for looking at my auction and surfs up!
