I'm an audio enthusiast trying to downsize my collection a little.
This is the first-ever true stereo issue of Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys. It appeared in the US as a limited edition in 1999, pressed on 180-gram audiophile vinyl.
It is still in its original, sealed, poly bag. That's because I bought this from the US as a spare copy - I'm keeping my "play" copy, which is my favourite vinyl version of this album.
[Background note: before 1999, Pet Sounds was only available in mono or in fake "duophonic" stereo. Then sound engineer Mark Linett sat down with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and together, working from the original tapes, they produced the first-ever true stereo mix of this classic album. This LP is the result.]
The LP will be very carefully packed in a large, strong cardboard box and I am 99 per cent sure my packing method will prevent any split seams. In the unlikely event that the record arrives with split seams, I will give a complete refund without question, provided the record is still in its sealed poly outer bag - so please check the sleeve carefully before opening.
