Description
The Beach Boys – Pet Sounds
Original 1966 U.S. MONO pressing on Capitol Records, catalog #T-2458. Original black/rainbow Capitol labels.
Scranton, PA pressing, identified by the stamped IAM-in-a-triangle mark in the deadwax.
Matrix / Runout:
Side 1: T1-2458-F17 – IAM triangle
Side 2: T2-2458-G24 – IAM triangle
Vinyl: G+ – Conservatively graded. Record retains nice sheen but shows numerous light surface marks and scuffs from play. Play tested with no skips or sticking and plays through well. There is audible surface noise, particularly noticeable during the album's many quieter passages, along with occasional pops/ticks. Still an enjoyable playing copy, but buyers should expect audible surface noise. Record could also benefit from a thorough cleaning.
Cover: G+ – Original jacket has visible ring wear and some wear along the spine and edges, but remains intact and presents fairly well for its age. Please see photos for exact condition.
An original mono copy of the Beach Boys classic featuring “Wouldn't It Be Nice,” “God Only Knows,” “Sloop John B,” “Caroline, No” and “I Just Wasn't Made for These Times.”
