What you are bidding on are two separate releases. Basically, one rare, collectable record and a freebee.
Record 1:
Carl and the Passions - So Tough (Brother/Reprise 2MS 2083, 1972)
This is the 2LP set that includes The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds in Mono.
This is a WHITE LABEL PROMO COPY!!!!!!
It is a superb way to own this record as it was intended to be listened to without having to lay down hundreds for a true first pressing (which is what I recently did and is why I am selling this!)
Pet Sounds has been listened to several times over the years on my audiophile quality system, but So Tough was only played twice (once when I cleaned it and once more, which was enough for me! LOL!)
Record 2:
The Beach Boys Pet Sounds (from the Capitol Vaults, Limited Edition)
Now, this pressing is rubbish. Truly awful sound. Keep the record if you want or throw it away. The reason that I am including it is because the jacket and inner-sleeve are a faithful reproduction of the original release!!!! Until I got my true first pressing of Pet Sounds, I used to keep the Mono Promo copy above in THIS jacket so that I had a closer experience to the original. I then filed Carl and the Passions under "C" and Pet Sounds with my Beach Boys stuff.
Anyway, this is what I am selling. This should be for a serious collector that wants to add to their collection of this amazing and important record.
If you are ONLY interested in the So Tough 2LP edition, then gift the Capitol Vaults LP to someone. It's basically free in this listing. I bought it new and cleaned it on 4/22/14, but only played it twice, once after cleaning and once to confirm how awful it truly is.
