Description

Here find the iconic Beach Boys LP "Pet Sounds".

First US pressing in Duophonic Stereo   (Capitol DT2458)

Black labels with rainbow colorband.

Arguably the most influential and celebrated Beach Boys release, Paul McCartney has noted in interviews that "Pet Sounds" was a model and inspiration for The Beatles in their creation of "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band". 

Beatles' producer George Martin on "Pet Sounds":  "Without Pet Sounds, Sgt. Pepper never would have happened .... Pepper was an attempt to equal Pet Sounds."

 

Vinyl:  VG+  (play graded)

High gloss.  Light surface scratches/scuffs present.

Faint surface noise audible between some tracks and during some quiet passages ... but detracts very little from the listening experience.

Overall wonderful sound quality on this beautifully recorded LP.

Labels are clean and bright.  No spindle marks.       (SEE PHOTOS)

Back cover B&W photo clear and bright.

Some faint stains apparent on outer borders of jacket, front and back.

Modest ring wear apparent on front and back of jacket.

Includes original inner sleeve in good condition.
