Description
The Beach Boys SMILEY SMILE This is the original BROTHER release from 1967, T 9001, in glorious MONO, just the way Brian made it. It is still in the original SHRINK wrap and has a rare sticker (on the shrink, not on the cover) that lets the folks who have gone out and bought themselves a STEREO record player know that they can still play this MONO record on their new machine. If you haven't had a chance to hear Brian's MONO mix and all you know is the STEREO, you are in for a big surprise. The 2 are totally different. The sonic presence of the original MONO is so much richer than the mess CAPITOL made of the fake STEREO. Get the real thing!
VINYL : NM. Clean. No scratches. A tiny mark in the lead in to side 2 that does not affect the music. Very glossy. Does not look played. Labels are mint.
JACKET : VG++. Still in the original shrink. There is a ding to the lower left corner and the other 3 corners have some wear as the shrink has worn off there. Also a very neat punch hole in the upper right corner that corresponds to the hole in the original inner sleeve. No names, stains, seam splits, rips, etc. Exceptionally bright colors both sides.
