Beach Boys - Smiley Smile LP (1967, Brother Records, ST-9001). Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail. Immaculate condition, 1967 original pressing through Brother Records, following a dispute with Capitol Records. Record plays and sounds amazing. Sleeve is in decent shape for a hard-to-find record collection hidden gem. Minor issues include slight water damage on bottom rear of album sleeve. Spine and edges are in great shape with no splits at the ends or corners. This is perhaps the Beach Boys' most controversial release, hailed by some as a psychedelic, lo-fi, pop masterpiece, eclipsing Sgt. Pepper, Dark Side of the Moon, and even Pet Sounds in experimental and avant-garde obscurity. This album is not just for the faint of heart, die-hard, experimental music aficionado. The catchy jingles might weave in and out of each other alongside quixotic interludes like a crowded, busy traffic jam, but you'll be humming each one in no time, silently to yourself at first while washing the dishes, then louder while rocking back and forth in a mental hospital.
