Description

Hello, up for auction is a rare, 1962 re-pressing of the debut single by The Beach Boys. This version is on Candix Records, same as the 331, but with a catalog number of 301. There are 2 versions of the 301 pressing that I am aware of. One has "ERA Record Sales Inc" the other does not. This is the version that has the ERA printed on it. The runout matrix is CD-T-S-1-R for side 1, and CD-T-2-1-R for side 2. Tracks are Surfin' on side 1, and Luau on side 2. This is a clean copy considering the age. See the photos. It's from my personal collection. I have the vinyl graded at VG+, as there are some very minor marks which is normal to 45's of this age. Aside from a few pops here and there, the record plays fine with no skips. There is almost no wear on the labels, and the print is clean and readable. A very fine copy indeed. Sleeve is a brown generic, but as far as I know there was not an actual sleeve for this release. If I'm wrong please let me know!
