Description

This is the 1962 Capitol vinyl LP DT 1808 Surfin' Safari by The Beach Boys. It appears to be the first duophonic (stereo) pressing. The vinyl is graded VG for surface marks but the playback ranges from VG to VG+. The original inner sleeve has a clean tear at the top left side seam, but otherwise is in VG+ condition. The sleeve is in absolutely excellent condition . No tears, seam wear, ring wear, discoloration, corner wear, folds, or bends. A tiny, near-unnoticeable mark at the top left corner keeps me from arguing a NM grade. As with the first mono pressing, this record has a misprinted cover: Track A5 ["Little Girl (You're My Miss America)"] is incorrectly shown on the cover as "Little Miss America." Surfin' Safari is the very first Beach Boys recording, and it foreshadowed a seven-decades-long reign of surf-and-hot-rod music that more than four generations of fans would enjoy. Get this great copy of the record that started it all.
