Well, it's time to sell off my entire collection of Beach Boys picture sleeves and 45's. I've enjoyed them but now it's time for someone else to have the fun. I'll be putting up the rest of my entire Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Fantastic Baggys, and Gary Usher collection in the near future.
Condition of record: VG as in Very Good. Not Near Mint, Excellent, VG+ or heaven forbid, Mint. But, it's not G as in Good either like the last two I sold (see items # 280054055892 and 280061966362). This copy is definitely a grade better. Many dealers would list this as VG+. If I was greedy like them, I'd do it too. Plays all the way through with very little to no surface noise! Amazing!! Sounds great with no added NR (noise reduction) that you will find on all the CD releases of this song. Both labels have obvious ring wear. There is just about a 3/4" area on the Surfin' side of EA in Beach Boys where there is some bubbling of the label. The Luau label side is great. Lots of tiny visible surface scratches and a couple of scuffs on the vinyl itself. Both the Surfin' and the Luau sides have what looks like a drop of glue at the outer edge of the record but I can't hear any noise that is caused by it except at the very 1 or 2 seconds of the song. No deep scratches, gouges or large scuffs. Surfin’ deadwax matrix reads"41389 CD-T-S-1-R" and Luau "41389X CD-T-S-2-R". The record has been played on a high end McIntosh system with high treble to hear for scratches, tics, etc. The record amazingly plays VG+! Great song! Hear both songs in glorious MONO! Don't go for that ugly fake stereo junk! And hear it without all the ugly Noise Reduction (NR) that all the remastered CD’s have. Hear it the way it originally sounded in December 1961! And get your upgrade copy of Surfin’ for cheap!
Please note that the last 2 pics are scans of the record itself so you can see all the flaws. No trying to hide the real condition of the record like all the other dealers on Ebay try to do!
Please note that I grade to the strictest of Goldmine standards! A VG record is still very good! It’s been played and there is wear but it has not been abused. I hate it when dealers and other sellers ameliorate the condition of their items, especially when I'm the buyer! And you know what? Most of them (99%) do it! Wanna know why I have so many copies of 1 item? It's because all those other sellers are crooks! They don't provide you an accurate description and so you just cross your fingers and hope that it's as clean as they say. I've scanned these so you can see all the little faults.
Shipping in the US will be UPS Media Mail for $5 and will be shipped in strong cardboad 45 mailers made by Bags Unlimited. Insurance will be optional (highly recommended). I can combine shipping on multiple wins. If you are not satisfied, return and I will provide a refund, provided that the item is received in exactly the same condition as when I mailed it. For overseas, shipping will be USPS $10.
