Beastie Boys Sounds of Science Vinyl 4LP Box. Limited Edition. #1462/6000
This is an incredibly nice box set that celebrates the Beastie Boys work up to and including "Hello, Nasty" (and the newly-recorded "Alive"). Some features:
-Barcode sticker on back states: Printed in a numbered collector's edition of 6,000 copies.
-4XLP anthology compilation + 12"X12" 88 page hardbound book with photos and commentaries. plus
a dust cover showing the front artwork from each release in their early catalog (1986 - 1999).
-Only the book is numbered on the very last page.
The publishers page states first edition of 2000 copies.
Each LP comes in a thick card stock photo sleeve with text printed on spine only.
Masterdisk is stamped in the runouts. All else is etched.

Everything fits into a robust cardboard slipcase / box.
As for this copy, there is some slight wear to the sleeves, but no major tears, creases, etc. Book jacket has a small dimple in the back, but not on back cover. So, when the book is closed, not even noticeable.
Some other cool things: The shrink is intact, although the box is clearly open. I just can't bring myself to take the shrink off. The book inside is SUPER COOL. Beasties even did a separate layout and print job from the CD edition as the phots from the CD edition looked terrible when they were blown up, so they went back to the source materials and re-did it. Looks beautiful.
Discs sound great. Very clean and quiet. When I bought this copy, it had been graded M/NM and I have treated them like the gorgeous albums they are since. You can still see the grading on the sticker on the front.
