Description

This is typical of the nuttiness of the band and Def Jam in the mid 80's. It's a Spain Promo version for Licensed To Ill from 1986. This one is a 100% unique version in that it contains no music. It was issued with a unique insert that promoted LTI in Spain by putting out a fake promo version. Strange, but true! From beastiemania...
This "joke" record does not actually contain any music as the vinyl has no grooves cut into it. Released prior to the release of the album, it tells the owner to write to CBS for the real version.Comes with an insert that translates to: "If you are not satisfied with 'this record' call or write at P.Castellana... and 'fight for your rights (to receive a real record)'With the Beastie Boys you never know...".
Promo versions of LTI on vinyl are relatively rare. However deep you want to dig into what makes this pretty damn rare, please do at beastiemania. The item comes with the original insert, jacket, and inner sleeve. Pics are of the actual item.
It IS NOT an actual LP with music on it. It IS a very cool piece of memorabilia that is part the tradition of the Beastie Boys doing outlandish shit for fun.
