Not often does the chance to acquire all 3 Beastie Boy's on Vinyl come along, three important albums including Polly Wog Stew E.P., Cooky Puss Maxi 12" (Both on RatCage Records), and the Interview Picture Disc Limited Edition From England.
All three of these albums were found stuffed inside a rubber maid tote in an attic, where they've likely sat 30+ years. There are some issues - read closely;
First, all appear quite clean surface wise with minimal to no scratching to the vinyl itself, tried to take some reflective pictures of the surfaces to demonstrate that besides some fingerprints, they're not all torn up. Individually - the two sleeves for Polly Wog Stew & Cooky Puss are a little rough, again, bent/folded at corners etc. (when we say stuffed, we meant stuffed into a tote along with a bunch of high school crap from the late 80's not in any particular order or paying attention to how they were stored). So the sleeves are a bit worse for wear, the glue seams have let go on Cooky Puss (easy reglue, but for now.....), including some bends, and Polly Wog stew has a fair amount of creases/bends at corners.
Second - Cooky Puss and the Picture disc are flat and in good, playable shape. Unlike Polly Wog Stew, which due to how it was stored, has a warp in it now. This may be fixable if you know what you're doing (we don't), so we won't try.
Third - The picture disc appears to have some sort of lamination issue on side 1, right down the center? Very strange it is under the glossy surface, so not like something spilled on it or etched it, but we can't explain it. Pictures show what we mean. Should play fine, but the image on one side has that streak.
Overall, these are their most sought after albums. If you can flatten out Polly Wog Stew, put it in a better condition sleeve, you have a great 1st album. If you can locate a decent sleeve for Cooky Puss, you're golden. Not sure what to say about the picture disc.
All three are sold as-is, for obvious reasons. Even framed up, if you are a huge fan, they would display decently under glass.
