Description
After selling most of my LP collection, I am now selling a few that I have left which are mostly Beatles related.
All my LPs will have been played at least once and some of them several times. They have however been properly looked after and stored over the years and I am only listing LPs which play to a high quality. Each LP has been played in full prior to listing so my assessment is of the whole record, not just a few samples. My assessments of the quality of the vinyl, sound reproduction and sleeve are based on the widely accepted Record Collector definitions.
This copy of the Beatles' 1963 LP "Please Please Me" is an early UK pressing on the Parlophone label - catalogue number PCS 3042, matrix numbers YEX 94-1 and YEX 95-1. The album is in really very good condition and all the tracks play perfectly and clearly with very little crackle or other surface noise. The vinyl has some superficial surface marks, certainly nothing out of the ordinary for an LP of this age and nothing which affects the quality of playback. The sleeve is also in very good condition with just minor scuffing and creasing consistent with normal handling. The lettering on the spine is clear. The album comes with its original Emitex inner sleeve. This has two splits on one side, so in order to protect it from further damage in transit, I will put the LP in a separate new inner sleeve.
