THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES' THIRD CHRISTMAS RECORD'
UK 1965 UK FAN-CLUB FLEXI-DISC
Recorded on 8th November 1965, at Abbey Road during one of the 'Rubber Soul' sessions, this 1-sided 33 1/3 rpm flexi disc was sent out to UK fan-club members only in December 1965 and contains humorous messages, songs & seasonal greetings from each member of the group in turn.
The disc was pressed by Lyntone Records and bears a 'gold' & white custom label: LYN 948
Matrix number: LYN 948-1Y
The disc is housed within its original picture cover & complete with 'National Newsletter No.6'.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A bright & undamaged label where the only blemish is a faint fingermark in the 5 o'clock position.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Immaculate, unmarked and unworn surfaces with no bends, scuffs or scratches visible in strong daylight and only a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. However, the disc does not lie evenly when playing on the turntable but this was not serious enough to affect play on my system.
Play: VERY GOOD
The unevenness of the disc causes some faint bumping but the disc tracked fine during my play-check with no jumping or skips. The sound is a little worn, especially towards the end of the message but not enough to mask the humour or enjoyment.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
This example is very strong and flat with no creasing or bending to any part. There are several fingermarks front & rear but no writing, tears or missing paper anywhere.
Newsletter: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with just a few faint handling wrinkles but no creases, marks or tears to any panel.
