Description
Up for bid is a quite unique and rare “1966 Grammy Award Winners” LP that was never available for public purchase. It was only distributed to people in the radio and TV industry. It includes “Eleanor Rigby” by the Beatles, among other notable artists of that year.
This particular copy was owned by Robert Tweedell, a prominent TV editor for the Denver Post. His position enabled him to cross paths with a wide range of entertainment stars. If interested, please read his full obituary here:

What I truly believe, based on my knowledge and research of the piece is: the cover has been hand signed by George Harrison and John Lennon. After reviewing known exemplars, it is quite clear that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr did not sign this album.
As I recently learned from a local record store owner, it was common practice for the Beatles to sign each others’ names at promotional events when the whole group wasn’t readily available. It is possible in this case that Mr. Harrison or Mr. Lennon did the honors, and signed for McCartney and Starr on thier behalf.
Full disclosure, last week I submitted a request to PSA/DNA for thier “quick opinion” service where they review photos and render a preliminary opinion as to the authenticity of signatures. The result came back as: “Likely not genuine.”
In light of this “quick opinion,” I am offering this record with no reserve, and no authenticity guarantee. Please do your research, review the photos, and make your own assessment.
The record itself plays well, without loud pops or skips. There are light surface hairlines that cause some light crackles at times.
