READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
Beatles 1968 LP White Album Complete, Numbered First Pressing, CLEAN Cover!
Album cover number is 1231639.
Who doesn’t know how dirty White Album covers can get, even the most recent reissues? This cover is beautiful, although the vinyl is only VG.
SUPERNICE cover.
Vinyl--- VG/VG. VG/VG. All four sides have lots of light to moderate scratches, but none that can be felt with the fingertip. All four sides still have original gloss, but they visually look like they will play with some surface noise. Probably still a decent player.
Plates--- J45/B35. J46/J42. Record 1 has hybrid plates, Jacksonville on Side 1, Los Angeles on Side 2. Record 2 is a straight Jacksonville pressing.
Cover--- EX. Cover is nice and white with just a very light amount of ringwear and dirtwear on both front and back. The back has a little more dirtwear, but it’s still not very much at all. Not completely 100%, but at around 90-95% white. One small ½-inch split at bottom right corner. OTHERWISE, NO SPLIT SEAMS. Some light wear to corners and top and bottom seams.
VERY LITTLE YELLOWING! Discoloration in the photos are due to shadows, not yellowing.
Gatefold--- EX. Better than the outer cover! NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.
Labels--- NM/NM. NM/EX. Side 4 label has just a dot of missing slick. (See photo.) NO SPINDLE MARKS. Also, just the Rocky Racoon error, for those interested.
Photos--- All four are EX. Full 100% glossy. Very minimal amount of finger divots, if any. Beautiful set of photos, full-color, NO FADING.
Poster--- VG. Has some small areas of foxing. Has a lot of wrinkles. Has two splits about 2 inches long each. Has many finger divots. This one was handled.
Capitol Inner Sleeves--- VG+/VG+. Moderate yellowing from the last 57 years, but NO SEAM SPLITS.
Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeves en route.
RIAA: N/A
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
